I've set my expectations so low that any signing will exceed them.

I'll say it again, screw the picks I'd go after DeBrincat if he's on the block.

Anything that isn't nailed down is on the block in Chicago. It all depends on the return the Davidson is offered. He seems to be much more patient (and thus far competent) than Bowman in his early moves.

Any interest in Murphy to pair with Power? All indications are that he is recovered from his injury.

I'd be surprised to see them give one way deals to AHL/depth players. Good vibes may end when they ask Subban to take a pay cut.

Maybe, but spending $2m total for two goalies can be seen as a good-faith effort to establish competition while still keeping salaries incredibly low

Dell was 350k in the AHL, Tokarski 200k. I expect more of the same. So few people understand two-way deals that the optics are irrelevant.

No coincidence that the one-way deals stopped when JB was shown the door.

Why stop with him? Go for the entire line. There's a blockbuster Buffalo / Chicago trade to be made.

Soobs. I could go for that. He plays with a little jam. Think it would be good for the young bucks.

No idea what Davidson is thinking but I would guess, realistically, a 2nd and mid-range prospect (likely a forward).

He is good, not great, but steady and reliable on a locked-in reasonable contract for what he provides. Put him on a team with some actual structure (not that nonsense the Hawks tried to employ last year) and a competent partner, and his numbers will likely improve dramatically. He's not dynamic enough to do that much chasing.

Sounds reasonable. Maybe throw in a couple extra sandwiches for Sardarian. 154 lbs?
